Join Marie King, LaBelle's Senior Wine Associate/Educator, for an entertaining, interactive, and educational overview of the world of wine regions.
WHO SHOULD SIGN-UP FOR THIS WORKSHOP?
If you love wine, love to explore the world, and seek a deeper understanding of wine through engaging and interactive learning; then this workshop is for you. Also in this workshop, you'll learn how to decipher wine labels and enjoy LaBelle wines that are made in a style that is representative of how wine is made in a particular wine region. For example, Riesling (Germany), Chardonnay (California), Malbec (Argentina), and Petit Verdot (France).
WHY IS IT BENEFICIAL TO KNOW ABOUT WINE REGIONS?
*“Terroir” is the French term that encompasses the entire grape growing environment, from soil to temperature. The word, however, is not restricted to describing only French wine-growing regions. Regional variances in Terrior can tell the real tale of taste when dealing with quality wine. After this workshop, you'll be able to select a wine with more confidence, just by knowing the region in which it was produced.
*Old World and New World regions also play a role. Did you know that selecting wine by a region is an Old World tradition? New World regions produce wine more often by grape variety than by location. Learn about the fundamental differences in how Old World and New World regions may play into your wine selections.
This class will fill early, so register today. Seating is limited. This workshop is for everyone, regardless of your wine knowledge level!
