ARTIST RECEPTION with Bruce McColl - "New Paintings" at The Art Gallery at LaBelle Winery Portsmouth


The Gallery at LaBelle Winery Portsmouth, in partnership with Sullivan Framing and Fine Art Gallery in Bedford, New Hampshire, presents an exhibit titled “New Paintings” by New Hampshire artist Bruce McColl from Sept. 3, 2019, through Jan. 6, 2020. 

Join Mr. McColl for an opening reception of "New Paintings" today, Sept. 6, 2019, in conjunction with Portsmouth’s Art ‘Round Town first Friday events. Please register below.  The reception is complimentary.  Light refreshments will be served. Walk-ins welcome.

Additionally, Mr. McColl will conduct an artist’s talk on Oct. 4, 2019, which will also coincide with Art ‘Round Town.  Please register for the 10/4 talk here.

About Bruce McColl:

A native of Michigan and a former professional ice hockey player, McColl holds an MFA from Wayne State University. He is currently Director of Art Education at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, New Hampshire. Since 2010, McColl’s work has been shown in several solo exhibits.

McColl, whose preferred medium is watercolor, pencil and crayon, says, “I’m inspired by nature. I look for and travel to landscapes that engage my interest in color, form and design. Considering the beauty of New England, and New Hampshire specifically, and the changeable nature of our setting, I feel blessed to draw from this place.”
